PDP Architecture were employed by Francis Construction to undertake RIBA Stages 4-7 of a new sixth form block at St Crispin’s school.
The construction comprises of a steel frame structure, over two storeys with an impressive double height open plan common room. The building is clad in large elements of glazing, trespa panels and rodeca cladding. The rodeca cladding allows the building to appear as a translucent light box when lit up at night or in the winter months, whilst allowing light transfer during the summer months to create a light and airy space. Internally there are further glass partitions that allow this light to bounce around the building.
