pdp architecture llp achieved planning permission for 12no. One bedroom one person supported living flats for Ability Housing Association. The existing site is made up of a former depot, adjacent unused open space by Wishbone Way and unused land between the southern boundary of the former depot and the new Sea Scout Centre.

The design rationale of the proposed is based upon a more contemporary style similar to that of the newly constructed neighbouring sea scouts building. The facades have been broken up using a combination of buff facing brick, crisp white render and light grey cladding. The windows will be in a dark grey to create a sharp contrast. The protruding porches have been designed to create interesting features to the buildings and denote the entrances to the upper flats. Individual front doors to the ground floor flats have been included to give the proposed a more domestic residential look and create a sense of ownership.  The flats have been designed to achieve Life Time Homes criteria and Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
