This project involved the conversion of a group of listed barns for residential use. The main barn was designed to meet the owner’s very specific requirements whilst a second barn was converted into a family home.
pdp architecture llp obtained an alternative planning consent for the owner following the purchase of the site, and undertook the building regulation and construction phase drawings whilst also administrating the project on site.
Being listed buildings this required very careful consideration for the construction detailing and materials used and included innovative design solutions for the interiors.
The finished project has resulted in a very successful scheme bringing a group of derelict barns back into use, adding many more years of life to these listed buildings.
