PDP Architecture LLP is proud to have been the architects for the new training ground facilities for Portsmouth Football Club at Roko Health Club in Copnor Road, Portsmouth.

Practice Partner Michael Saunders is also an Executive Board Member of the Pompey Supporters Trust who are the major shareholder in the football club following the largest fans takeover of a club in 2013. Through this role, Mike provided the Club with the architectural services to plan the proposals and submit the planning application for the works.

The proposals are for two purpose built pitches to match the standard and dimensions of the pitch at Fratton Park, plus a training area. New changing rooms will be built within the existing Roko building as well as converting and extending the old bowls pavilion into a players treatment centre.

Additional temporary structures will form a gymnasium and staff offices, with a second phase to add two more pitches and associated facilities to house the PFC Academy already being worked on.
