A scheme for a replacement bespoke private five bedroom family dwelling, located in Bordon. The proposed house will occupy the footprint of the demolished existing building and is oriented to take advantage of the natural sun light. The proposed dwelling will be connected to the private road through a new driveway. The overall design is based on a traditional barn aesthetic with exposed beams and pitched barn hip roofs. The proposal combines tradition with contemporary elements such as the large glazed element surrounding the traditional fireplace within the double height lounge on the West elevation. The large glazed element is repeated on the main façade and creates a central focal point for the staircase.
