The brief for the project was to create a striking and contemporary beach front property to take advantage of the seaside views. The concept was then established to have an upside down house, with the living room located on the first floor to take advantage of the seaside location. The rear of the house is designed to have a more traditional elevation to be in keeping with the existing street scene with the front elevation being designed to have a unique and dynamic façade that has been likened to a bow of a ship.

The ground floor consists of a double integral garage, a glazed one and half storey entrance area, utility room, two double bedrooms, family bathroom, wet store with adjoining wet room, family bathroom and a large open planned kitchen with dining area with a decking area overlooking the garden. The first floor is accessed by a contemporary winding staircase located below a glazed central three storey atrium. This floor consists of a further two double bedrooms both with en-suites, a WC and double height lounge opening out onto a decked balcony area.
