Horizon Leisure Trust the owners of Havant Leisure Centre wanted to expand their facilities to accommodate a Children's Play Centre while at the same time redeveloping the squash courts which were under-utilised.

The two story steel framed extension occupies a vacant plot at the rear of the Leisure Centre. The main play area is full height to accommodate the play equipment with office, ancillary rooms and a viewing balcony surrounding it.

Externally the building has a brickwork plinth matching the existing structure. Metal cladding above this defines the new addition with vertically glazed strips puncturing the facade to add interest.
